The McCullum Family

I was 25 weeks pregnant when I got the news of my son being diagnosed with CDH, and I was living in Florida with my two kids. My doctor said there’s nothing he can do for me and referred me to Houston's Fetal Center. I packed my kids and what I could and left everything behind in Florida. My job, everything. We were staying in hotels and Airbnb with little funds I had, and my family helped as much as possible. Then, the doctors here in Houston told me about the Eden Calhoun Fund. I applied and it’s been a blessing with what they have helped me with, and I’m more than thankful for them. I really appreciate it.

Update 10/27

My son ahmod is still in the Nicu bear b. He’s on a feeding tube and a cpap breathing tube. They found fluid around his brain that has to be monitored weekly.

Update 11/28

Baby ahmod  got his feeding tube put in. He’s still on oxygen. We are making progress in the hospital now! This has been a experience for my family and I and I’m hopeful for the best and the next steps to come.
